People Feodosii Fedchenko (1911-1989)
Feodosii Mikhailovich Fedchenko was born into a peasant family in Kiev. He served in a tank unit during World War Two, before going to work at the Institute of Measurements and Measurement Instruments in Kharkov. he moved to the time laboratory in 1949 where he developed a successful isochronous pendulum, receiving the USSR equivalent of a patent (a certificate of invention) on 18 March 1955 (no. 100085). Fedchenko published papers on his research into the 1970s, and died in Mendeleev on 14 October 1989.
