Companies Magneta

Swiss clockmaking company, founded by Martin Fischer of Zurich. Established premises in London in 1908, and manufactured controlling and subsidiary clocks as well as early marine clocks. The English branch was bought by Joseph William Molden c.1917, and began trading as the Magneta Time Company Limited. The relationship between the two companies was fully severed in 1923.
