Overview
An astronomical impulse dial badged for the Etalon Company, a clock manufacturer based in Soviet Russia from the 1920s. The astronomical presentation of the dial indicates the clock was intended for precision timekeeping - for example, to support scientific research - rather than as an everyday timekeeper. Though 'Etalon' is the name on the dial, it was purchased with Feodosii Fedchenko's AChF3 no. 10 (TCW 1011), to which it had presumably been 'married up' at some point in its history.
