Museum

The museum at The Clockworks displays over 150 clocks and timekeepers, running from the earliest days of electric and synchronised time in the 1840s to the mid-twentieth century. It tells the story of developing technology, of designers and innovators, and the emergence of the modern world.

In addition to our weekly curator’s talk (Friday at 12:30), the museum is open Monday – Friday by appointment. To book a slot, please follow the link below. You are welcome to visit on your own or in a group.

Formal group tours (10+ people) typically last approximately 90 minutes. You can check availability on the calendar below (up to 90 days in advance), but please email curator@theclockworks.org to discuss your requirements.
